On Thursday Sara attended the re-opening of Studio Retail in Clayton following their acquisition by the Fraser Group, along with staff and management.
This time last year, Sara was issuing daily updates on her social media for local people & employees who were understandably fraught with the idea that Studio Retail might go out of business following entering administration.
She worked tirelessly with interested parties to ensure that didn't happen, and this week was able to see how new investment will not only maintain the workforce in Clayton, but also expand it, through increased opportunities for local people in the finance & media teams.
That is more jobs & more investment for Hyndburn and is yet further evidence of how strong local leadership, working with the private sector, can drive growth in the local economy for everyone.
Following the re-opening, Sara said:
This is fantastic news for Hyndburn – as one of the borough’s largest employers, it’s been really important to me to see these exciting developments and the security of jobs. There is also growth potential, with opportunities across the Frasers Group, which can only bring more good news.
