Sara Britcliffe, Member of Parliament for Hyndburn and Haslingden, has been to visit Master of Martial Arts in Accrington following the club recently finishing second in the national British Ju Jitsu Championships.
In recognition of that amazing achievement, the MP visited for herself to see how dedicated the team are and how much the impressive young people benefit from the activity.
The Hyndburn and Haslingden MP was presented with a commemorative plaque showing the Code of Bushido, a samurai code containing elements of integrity, respect, courage, honour, compassion, honesty, sincerity, duty and loyalty.
Commenting, Sara said:
It is always great to see local clubs and groups doing well. I am passionate about getting people involved in activity and sport and the recent achievements of Master of Martial Arts is what it's all about.
Visiting, I could see straight away how committed the staff were who operate the club for our young people and how much confidence, respect, and joy the activities gave the young people.
I will always do all I can to support our local groups and clubs, a thoroughly enjoyable visit.
