Sara Britcliffe MP was pleased to see the launch of the Schools White Paper today, setting out how we will level up opportunity and education across the country.
Through her role as a Parliamentary Private Secretary (PPS) in the Department for Education, Sara has relished the opportunity to work on this project.
The Schools White Paper set out how we can transform the education system as a whole, to ensure pupils have the literacy & numeracy skills to get on in life, support teachers and teacher training, and drive up standards by creating more academies.
Sara commented:
"The Schools White Paper is the culmination of lots of exciting work in the Department for Education, which I have loved being a part of. I have worked closely with schools throughout my time as a Member of Parliament.
"Education is key to levelling up and this White Paper enshrines that. It offers opportunity for all through more teacher training opportunities, a focus on literacy and numeracy, and more academies.
"Since 2010, Conservatives have transformed education. This vision ensures we do not lose that momentum. Giving people the best start in life and educational opportunities is key, regardless of where you were born.
"Everyone across Hyndburn and Haslingden deserves equal opportunity and this White Paper focuses on just that."
Sara is now looking forward to working on the delivery of the ambitious package of reforms.
