Since the inception of Operation Centurion last year, Hyndburn has seen an extra 1,600 policing hours. That means more police on the street deterring anti-social behaviour. There have also been an extra 400 arrests due to Op Centurion, ensuring that criminals are off our streets. The new initiative is making our home safer.
Hyndburn MP Sara Britcliffe has been working with Lancashire Police and Crime Commissioner, Andrew Snowden, to ensure local shops and bars have radios to communicate with the police about illegal and anti-social behaviour. The MP has also been working with local organisations to ensure they are better protected against those who seek to inflict needless damage on property, which impacts both individuals and community groups.
The MP wants to see residents views about crime, so that they can feed into work going on locally. There is a survey below.
